The ANSI set of 217 characters, also known as Windows-1252, was the standard for the core fonts supplied with US versions of Microsoft Windows up to and including Windows 95 and Windows NT 4. ANSI art is a computer art form that was widely used at one time on BBSes. It is similar to ASCII art, but constructed from a larger set of 256 letters, numbers, and symbols — all codes found in IBM code page 437, often referred to as extended ASCII and used in MS-DOS and Unix [1] environments. Most people know what ASCII Art is – its art created by arranging text into pictures. ANSI art is also text art, but it’s a little more special. Download Free ansi Fonts for Windows and Mac. For example, typing '1U+B5' and pressing ALT+X will always return the text '1µ', while typing '1B5' and pressing ALT+X will return the text 'Ƶ'. Using the Character Map Character Map is a program built into Microsoft Windows that enables you to view the characters that are available in a selected font.

1) Collection of Bengali ANSI coded fonts(which i searched but unsuccessful to find any).
I'm using my work mac, and trying to write some scripts for Windows to use, particularly using diskpart in the Win PE Command prompt. The issue I am running into, is diskpart (from what I've read) doesn't like the 'Unicode' encoding that Text Edit likes to use.
2) Method to convert these UNICODE fonts to ANSI fonts(if its possible, I dont know actually)
3) A workaround to use them on Adobe products and still using the unicoded fonts.

Windows does not have an ANSI Bengali codepage. If your applications do not support Unicode, you won’t be able to display Bengali text in them.

you can manually write the unicode in micro-word then covert it into shape & use in adobe illustrator or photoshop... I do this where i can't get the ANSI fonts available for adobe & my choices.

I'm working with Excel to open a delimited (tabbed) txt file that contains Portuguese and Spanish accents. As you can see below, in the third row there is a title 'Último Año' that is correct.
However when I import the file into Excel the text is misinterpreted as 'Último Año'.
The correct codepage would be Unicode UTF-8 or ANSI. I tried several options, like using the import file options from Excel to select UTF-8 (and other formats) but the result is always weird.
Does anybody know how to interpret/display the correct latin accents on Mac Excel?

After several bumps in the wall I figure out this Terminal command (Shell Script) that will convert properly the files from UTF-8 for Latin 1:
iconv -f UTF-8 -t LATIN1 </path/sourceFile.txt >/path/destinationFile.txt
Oddly enough, the Finder preview won't display the correct characters and TextEdit won't even open the file. But Excel recognize everything, which is fine for me.
